Choose your pathway, then follow a focused plan

International companies and Vietnamese companies face different decisions. STA separates the journeys so each side gets a clear scope, criteria and next step — not a mixed brief.

International companies

A clear route into Vietnam

From market understanding to partner selection, negotiation and early market development — built for international suppliers and brand owners.

01 Research

Market and product research

STA assesses the Vietnamese market, competitors, pricing, distribution channels and product fit. Partners then have a basis for choosing the segment, positioning, route to market and partnership model.

02 Connecting products and partners

Connecting international products with the Vietnamese market

Review demand and partnership opportunities in Vietnam: product groups that are underserved, channels that can take the product, and a partnership model that fits the international partner’s strategy.

03 Partner due diligence

Thorough diligence before proposing a partnership

For Vietnamese importers, distributors and market-development companies, STA reviews operating licences, category experience, distribution systems, registration and import capability, warehousing and logistics, sales teams, financial capacity and product-development plans.

04 Regulation and market access

Assess the regulatory path before execution

STA assesses product dossiers, labelling, claims and the conditions for registration and import in Vietnam. Partners know what documents to prepare, the expected timeline and the steps required.

05 Partnership agreement

Agree the cooperation model

STA connects international partners with the responsible contact and decision-makers at the Vietnamese company. We support discussions on distribution format, market scope, product-development plans and commercial terms.

06 Execution

Bring the product to market and track results

STA works with the partner in Vietnam to prepare distribution channels, launch plans and market-development activities. We update progress, monitor early feedback and propose adjustments when needed.

Partner criteria for international suppliers

We look at the product and the science; regulatory readiness; manufacturing and quality; commercial terms; export documentation; and the capability and commitment to support the market.

We look for Vietnamese distributors with the right execution capability for that category. A large distributor is not automatically the right fit for every product.

A market-access partnership

How we take international partners into Vietnam

  1. 01

    Understand

Understand the product, the global strategy, the aims in Vietnam, and what the right partner should look like.

  2. 02

    Assess

An early view of the market opportunity, product–market fit, regulatory requirements, pricing and the commercial model.

  3. 03

    Map and select

Shortlist suitable importers and distributors. Assess category fit, channels, team, financial capacity and commitment.

  4. 04

    Connect and develop

Reach the right decision-makers, run the discussions, support commercial talks and shape the partnership model.

  5. 05

    Prepare to enter

Coordinate regulatory readiness, documentation, import readiness, channel planning and pre-launch work.

  6. 06

    Support delivery and growth

Track execution, gather market feedback, unblock issues and help optimise before you scale.

Vietnamese companies

A clear route to international supply

From defining needs to sourcing, diligence, negotiation and commercialisation — built for Vietnamese importers, distributors and healthcare businesses.

01 Research

Market and product research

STA studies market demand, competitors and gaps in each product group. Companies can then define the product, price segment and sourcing criteria they need.

02 Connecting products and partners

Connecting international products with the Vietnamese market

STA searches for and screens international brands, manufacturers, OEM/ODM partners, ingredients and technologies against the company’s product needs, quality standards and business goals.

03 Partner due diligence

Thorough diligence before proposing a partnership

For international brands, suppliers and manufacturers, STA reviews factory certifications, manufacturing capability, product dossiers, quality standards, export experience, pricing, minimum order quantities, production lead times and the ability to supply registration documentation for Vietnam.

04 Regulation and market access

Assess the regulatory path before execution

STA assesses product-registration feasibility, identifies missing documentation and coordinates import paperwork. We help companies follow the right sequence and reduce the risk of delays.

05 Partnership agreement

Agree the cooperation model

STA works with Vietnamese companies to negotiate with international suppliers on price, order quantities, payment terms, delivery, distribution rights, private label or contract manufacturing. We help clarify the terms before both sides sign.

06 Execution

Bring the product to market and track results

STA works with Vietnamese companies to track registration, import and sales readiness. After the product enters the market, we continue working with the international supplier and help resolve product or supply issues.

Partner criteria for Vietnamese distributors and importers

We look at category fit; regulatory and import capability; channel strength; the sales, marketing and medical team; financial and investment capacity; and alignment as a partner.
